PROJECT | RED BRICK HOUSE

Jaeya

In the paintings left behind by the old house,

a space where staying becomes a work of art

DESIGN NOTE

It is the second model in the series that follows 'nomore,' the first space of Red Brick House, which proposes transforming red brick houses in Seoul into a new residential form that melts naturally with its surroundings. The foot of Seochon and Inwangsan Mountain can be seen at a glance as you walk through the unique arch-shaped porch. Within the outer wall, a vast landscape is quietly concealed in this space.

In general, Jaeya reflected nomore's processes, supplementing the deficiencies of the previous model and approaching settlement in a more comprehensive way. The furniture has been carefully planned to take into account storage areas and daily activities that may be accommodated for a long period of time, as opposed to a short-term stay. As the word "Jaeya" implies, this place was created for travelers who would stay in the landscape for a long period of time under the cover of nature. Naturally, stained walls, warm wood-toned furniture, and props all over the house with lively plants outside and inside will mix with the tranquility of the ceiling of the house withstanding the years, adding calmness to daily life.

As if living in a painting, you can enjoy the afterglow of nature. As you spend your time in this environment surrounded by nature, you begin to think about what you will achieve a few days from now. It is certain that if you enjoy the senses embedded here every day, you will experience a new universe as you have never experienced it before.
