Daman

Where to Make Perfectly Great Memories

Branding, Visual Design

DESIGN NOTE

The city of ancient kingdom of Silla until the 10th century, Gyeongju has recently made its name for Gwanglidan-gil, as one of the alleys in the neighborhood of Poseok-ro in Hwangnam-dong began to be filled with cafés and restaurants. And Daman is standing in Seocheon, Geunseong-ro, the area located within the distance of five minutes of walk, with different atmosphere and pace from the outside world. In a place where the hosts have made heart-warming memories as their child has grown up, anyone is welcomed to spend time with their loved ones and thus, recharge themselves with fresh memories.

Admittedly, it is difficult to imagine what could be behind the wall. Over the wall, modern touch on the design and silhouettes of the Korean traditional housing, hanok and its rooftop is revealing some subtle hints. Sunlight during the day fills the entire space with warmth, pairing well with walls and floors in white and wooden color. Roomy living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom are just adequate for a multiple number of guests to stay. In addition, the place is ready to serve guests of almost all ages with a space for barbeque and a swimming pool.

Daman hosts only one team of guests at a time to ensure privacy. And after spending some relaxing time behind the wall of Daman, you may walk out for a small adventure in the outside. The place is neighboring with key tourist attractions of Gyeongju that you can tour around either on foot or by bicycles. Moreover, Daman is partnering with one of the bike rental companies, Daereungwon Bike that you can enjoy a ride around the neighborhood at discounted price. And you may also find some sheer pleasure of finding hidden treasure, exploring alleys with unique cafés and restaurants lining up.
